As an experienced voice teacher & professional singer, I know some things about us:
We like good food & drink
We like “nice” things
We like to talk
We work hard, love what we do, and will travel for continuing education but not necessarily for vacation
We appreciate attention to detail and strive for excellence
Why Le Blanc? I've visited over 10 all-inclusive resorts in the past two years, and I've stayed at Le Blanc three times. It is my FAVORITE adults only resort, and it is the standard by which I measure all resorts (read my blog post here). The resort is luxurious and beautiful, and it's also compact (no golf carts to get around). The food is high quality, and there are a variety of dining options ranging from poolside snacks to French fine dining. The service is fantastic from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. Pool staff meet you with towels and water to help you find and set up the perfect chair. Butlers will make restaurant reservations, iron your clothes, and prepare a bath for you (before you disrobe). You can lounge all day or participate in multiple fitness classes. Truly, it's a better way of living, and it's one of about two resorts that I would wholeheartedly recommend to a group of voice teachers. Also, it is safe and close to the airport. It's in the Cancun hotel zone, where the incidents you hear about on the news don't happen.
The non-itinerary for the week: —Plenty of time to relax in a judgement free zone. Chill by the pool, wade in the water, build sand castles, drink margaritas and eat tacos, it’s your time to recharge! --The professional development side of this is the knowledge that we will share with each other about aspects of our work in the music world. Everyone has something unique to share. —Time to shine, if you like. Everyone excels in some area, so we will host loosely structured conversations throughout the day. For example: “meet by the pool to discuss Spanish repertoire with Susan” or “spicy margaritas and social media with Fred” —Meals can be on your own, in pairs, or as a group—whatever is going to enrich your life.
